Ahead of the 'Infrastructure Mission' launch on March 13 in Visakhapatnam, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting on the status of infrastructure and investments with officials here.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that night-landing facility at the Rajahmundry airport will begin by March-end, an official release said here.
Naidu asked officials to focus on strengthening the existing infrastructure of airports, increasing traffic and improving frequency of flight trips to eastern countries from the state, especially from Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, it said.
The Chief Minister suggested that multi-mode transportation be incorporated into the state's tourism policy where travellers can choose their mode of transportation for a particular tourism package.

He asked officials to explore feasibility for cruises, sea planes and water sports such as yachting, sailing and snorkeling.
The officials informed the Chief Minister about plans to set up an entertainment and amusement zone at Kailasagiri in Visakhapatnam.
On ports development, the Chief Minister asked officials to work on ways to improve cargo handling to bring it to the second position in the country after Gujarat.
He was also briefed on the development of mega convention centres in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati, the release added.
