The Rajasthan government issues medical diaries to pensioners that facilitates reimbursement of money used to purchase medicines from Upbhokta stores.
Few employees of the Upbhokta Cooperative in connivance with employees of the pension department had prepared fake diaries and were getting money reimbursed, causing loss of lakhs to the state exchequer.
After the fake diaries were detected, the ACB began its probe and registered eight cases in connection to the scam.
