Around nine children were injured when a bouncy castle ride at an amusement park here turned turtle following a nor'wester which hit the city this evening, police said.
The incident occurred around 7pm this evening. The condition of two, out of the nine injured, were stated to be very critical, a senior official of Bidhanngar Police Commissionerate said.
The children were taken to a nearby private hospital, the official said.
Two are undergoing treatment and kept under observation at the ICU. Doctors are keeping a close watch on them, he said.
Police was probing into the incident and trying to find out whether there were any folly on part of the authorities in-charge of running the park, the official said.
It seems that the ride lost its balance following the nor'wester and the mishap took place. We are probing into the matter and trying to find out whether there was any lax of part of the park authorities, he said.
