Nine judges of Meghalaya lower courts transfered in reshuffle

In a major reshuffle of judges in the lower courts of Meghalaya, at least nine judges were transferred from their present postings, officials said.
Four grade I judges, three grade II judges and two grade III judges were transferred in an order by the Meghalaya High Court Chief Justice Uma Nath Singh, they said.
East Garo Hills district district and sessions judge W Diengdoh has been transferred to West Garo Hills with the same charge, while East Khasi Hills district and sessions judge A M Ripnar was transferred to THE East Garo Hills district, an order of the registrar general said.
West Garo Hills district and sessions judge E Kharumnuid was shifted to West Jaintia Hills district and B Mawrie, who was there as district and session judge, was transferred to take charge of the East Khasi Hills district.
East Garo Hills district chief judicial magistrate F S Sangma was been transferred as the chief judicial magistrate of West Khasi Hills district in place of B Joshi who was transferred to the Ri-Bhoi district in place of B Khriam.
Khriam would take charge as chief judicial magistrate in the East Garo Hills district.
Judicial magistrate first class, R Rymbai, who also headed the government-constituted special court trying a damage suit filed against leaders of various pressure groups here, was transferred to the East Garo Hills as judicial magistrate first class there.
Meanwhile, Sohra civil sub division judicial magistrate first class La Ikynti Kharshiing was transfered to the state capital as a judicial magistrate first class here.
