City-based detergent giant Nirma Ltd today lodged an FIR against two persons including a property dealer, for allegedly trying to capture a company- owned land here through fraudulent means, police said.
In his complaint lodged with Vastrapur police, estate manager of Nirma Ltd Shrenik Shah alleged that one Surendrapal Gupta along with Parag Ganatra tried to capture and sell a company-owned land near S G Highway by preparing forged land documents.
According to Shah, the piece of land was purchased by Nirma, having office at Ashram road, during 2004 from one Purushottam Patel. In 1976, Patel's brother sold the adjoining piece of land to another company called B S Corporation, which was later on dissolved, stated the FIR.
"As per the FIR, Gupta, who was in B S Corp, took help of Ganatra to capture the adjoining piece of land which belongs to Nirma, as Gupta knew many details about land records and survey numbers of both these pieces of land," said Vastrapur Police Inspector M S Shaikh.
In his complaint, Shah alleged that the duo prepared forged documents of Nirma's land in February with an intention to sell it.
"Before they could do that, Shah learnt about it and lodged an FIR against the duo for cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy. We will study the details and take appropriate action accordingly," added Shaikh.
