Nirmala to open India Economic Summit tomorrow

Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will tomorrow open the two-day India Economic Summit here which will focus on issues like digital transformation and regional economic integration.
The inaugural session will be attended by Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, among other dignitaries.
Several Union Ministers, including Suresh Prabhu, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nitin Gadkari, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Smriti Irani will participate in different sessions and showcase India's growth story to potential investors, according to WEF and CII, which are organising the event.
There will be sessions on issues like India's fourth industrial revolution, the country's energy potential, building blocks for infrastructure investment and startups.
Corporate honchos including Vedanta Resources Executive Chairman Anil Agarwal, Paytm India Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal, Hero MotoCorp India CMD and CEO Pawan Munjal and Bharti Enterprises Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal will be among the high profile attendees.
The opening session on Day 1 will revolve around 'India's Inflection Point', where participants like Sitharaman, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, Agarwal and Wickremesinghe will deliberate upon how the country can transform the state of its economy through digital transformation.
The second day will have sessions on topics like Start-up Nation, Digital Enterprises of India, Fuelling India's Growth Engine: Manufacturing, along with a session on Fighting Cybercrime.
