The Nisargadhama, eco-education and tourist development centre which has become a popular tourist attraction, would also have a 'Yakshagana Chowki (green room) at the Guthu Mane soon, S A Prabhakara Sharma, executive director of the centre, said in a release here.
Sharma said the 3-D room would give a real experience while screening videos of performing arts like Yakshagana, folk dances and videos related to 'Bhootaradhane.'
Artefacts already collected would be exhibited in appropriated places at the 'Guthu Mane' like how they were in a traditional house. A model of 'saarotu' (bullock cart) would be placed on the premises of the house.
The new steps were being taken as part of the Rs 5 crore Janapada Lok project for the development of the Nisargadhama. The implementing committee of the project headed by scholar B A Vivek Rai met on July 18 to discuss the details of the project. Mangaluru south MLA and former executive director of the centre J R Lobo was also present.
