Nissan India appoints Sandip Neogi as CFO

Japanese car maker Nissan today announced appointment of Sandip Neogi as Chief Financial Officer of its Indian operations.
Neogi will report to Guillaume Sicard, President Nissan India Operations, and will be based in Chennai, Nissan Motor India said in a statement.
"In his new role, Neogi will be responsible for the financial performance and governance of all Nissan companies in India," it added
Together with Renault, Nissan operates a factory in Oragadam near Chennai with a capacity of 4,80,000 units annually.

'Australia open for partnership in mining education' * Australia is keen on joint partnership with India in academic and research collaboration in the area of mining.
University of Newcastle Professor Stephen Fityus said there should be joint recognition of credits by Indian and Australian institutes and universities in the mining and related studies courses and research.

PPT achieves records in thermal coal loading performance * Mechanized Coal Handling Plant (MCHP) of Paradip Port Trust (PPT) has achieved two records in thermal coal loading performance.
The records were achieved on Sunday while loading into the vessels MV JS POTOMAC and MV E R BILBAO, PPT said in a statement.
A record quantity of 41,000 tonne of Thermal Coal was loaded in a shift of eight hours surpassing the previous record in a shift of 40,751 tonne loaded on October 21, 2006, it said.
Similarly, a record quantity of 1,07,268 tonne of Thermal Coal was loaded on the day surpassing the previous record of 1,00,127 tonne handled on January 31, 2015, the release added.
