The Micra, which is the Japanese company's maiden rollout from Chennai plant is also the most exported hatchback from the country. It is available in over 100 markets globally and the company has sold more than 6 million units.
The new model with a new interiors and automatic transmission come without any price increase, said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.
The new Micra comes with the globally acclaimed Nissan X-tronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that delivers more mileage than a manual transmission for added value in terms of fuel economy.
The new Micra will be on sale at all 232 Nissan showrooms across the country from today.
