Nita Ambani to join MD Anderson Cancer Centre Board

Reliance Foundation Founder & Chairperson Nita M Ambani will join the Board of Visitors of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre.
With her joining the board of visitors of globally acclaimed premier cancer centre, Ambani said the recently inaugurated Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre was looking forward to draw on the expertise and capabilities of the institution.
Commenting on the development, Ambani said: "I feel privileged to join the Board of Visitors of MD Anderson Cancer Center and look forward to both learning from and contributing to its exemplary mission of making cancer history."
Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre will draw on the expertise and capabilities of this remarkable institution, and work towards providing better care for cancer patients in India and bringing about ground- breaking research to eventually defeat cancer, she added.
Extending the invitation to Ambani, MD Anderson Cancer Centre Chairman of the Board Melvyn N Klein said: "By giving your time, talents and treasure, you will help advance the institution's mission to eliminate cancer - and ultimately make a significant difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families."
Ambani is the first Indian and the second Asian to join the Board of MD Anderson.
