Nitish attends 350th Prakash Parva

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today attended the 350th Prakash Parva to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh where he witnessed performances of Sikh martial art 'Gatka' and 'Ghursawari' (horseriding).
Kumar, who has been deeply involved with the event's organisation, watched the performances with rapt attention and applauded the performers.
Various Sikh 'jathas' presented the CM with a 'Saropa' (robe) and Angawastra as thanks for the arrangements for the mega event.
Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, Urban Development minister Maheshwar Hazari, Tourism minister Anita Devi and Director General of Police P K Thakur accompanied the CM at the event in Gandhi Maidan.
The Chief Minister has won accolades from Sikh devotees coming for the event from across the country as also foreign countries like US, UK, Australia, Canada and Germany for his efforts in hosting it.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal had showered fulsome praise on Kumar for taking personal interest in hosting Prakash Parva in a grand manner.
