Nitish congratulates N K Singh on appointment as chairman of

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today congratulated former Planning Commission member N K Singh upon his appointment as the Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission.
According to an official release, the Chief Minister called up Singh and extended his congratulations and best wishes to him.
Kumar also made a request to him to "pay special attention to the interests of Bihar".
Singh, who was a Bihar cadre IAS officer, represented Kumar's Janata Dal (United) in the Rajya Sabha from 2008 to 2014 before joining the BJP.
