Presiding over a review meeting of various schemes for Tal development, he directed the WRD to set up a task force to study all Tal areas in Bihar and mitigate the problems like waterlogging on permanent basis.
Kumar asked the WRD officials to finalize a work project in this regard and make a presentation of the same.
It may be mentioned that several low lying land in Bihar have been faced with permanent waterlogging due to lack of infrastructure for water discharge and related facilities so that the vast tract of land marooned under water could be used for economic development.
