Nitish inaugurates Bihar museum

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inuagurated a museum which would house a rich collection of items of art, history and artefacts from ancient times till 1764.
The CM inaugurated different galleries of Bihar museum located on Bailey road, at the heart of the capital.
Addressing a function on the occasion, Kumar said "Bihar has a capital of rich heritage, history and arts & culture which we have tried to preserve in this museum."
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Art and Culture minister Krishna Kumar Rishi and a host of ministers along with Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh were present on the occasion.
The chief minister said that among the rich collection in the museum are documents brought from Tibet.
He said the museum has been built in accordance with developed technology and broad-based vision of international standard.

He expressed happiness that the museum was dedicated to the public on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Built at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore, the Bihar museum would display huge collection of about 3,060 artefacts and statues.
Addressing the function, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi said that the museum would showcase Bihar's rich history and culture to the world.
He praised the CM for having a "vision for future" and greeted him for floating the idea of the museum.
