Kumar enquired about the quality of construction materials of the buildings, fire safety and earthquake measures at the proposed premier health facility in the state.
He also directed the Principal Secretary (Road) Pratyaya Amrit to ensure completion of the construction of roads in the AIIMS campus on water footing.
The chief minister also directed for construction of 3000 night shelters at the AIIMS to accomodate the attendents of the patients of the low income group.
The Chief Minister had yesterday directed for commencement of medical education at the AIIMS from August this year and medical services from the next year.
