"Lalu-Nitish made Bihar a haven of terrorists with an eye on the voters of a particular community....A terrorist was dealt with softly because of his religion," he said in a series of tweets a day after BJP President had said in Raxaul that firecrackers will be burst in Pakistan if by mistake BJP is defeated in Bihar.
Claiming that the Bihar Police had refused to take Bhatkal into its custody, the senior BJP leader alleged that the Chief Minister had made the ADG Rajesh Chandra to return to the state capital from Muzaffarpur while he was going to Raxaul to interrogate the IM co-founder.
The then Bihar DGP neither questioned Bhatkal nor took him into police remand before handing him over to the central agencies, Modi said.
He alleged that dozens of districts of Bihar were converted into a nursery of terrorism during the 25 years rule of the RJD and the JD(U) and that the terror attacks in Bodh Gaya and Patna (during Modi's rally in Gandhi Maidan) was due to the state government's indifferent towards terrorist activities in the state.
