Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav on Wednesday said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is more capable than incumbent Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister.

"Nitish Kumar jee is more capable than Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister," Tejaswi Yadav said at the RJD office here.

"Apart from being the CM of Bihar for the fourth time, Nitish Kumar jee has served as a minister at the Centre and has been a member of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council," he said.

"Transforming a backward state like Bihar into a number one state in terms of GDP, first ranker in terms of ease of doing business and 22nd position in crime in the current report of National Crime Record Bureau are enough to prove his vast capability," he said.

Tejaswi Yadav had come to the state party headquarters to launch a programme as part of which every Wednesday, ministers from RJD quota would be present at party office to meet workers and others to solve their problems.

Accompanied by party MLA and spokesperson Mohammad Nemetullah, Tejaswi Yadav said the party would soon launch a magazine "Garib Darpan" which would have party's view points on different topics.

He said the party magazine that would be sent to villages is an idea of RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav. It is still not decided whether the magazine would be weekly or fortnightly.

Tejaswi Yadav, who is also RJD Legislature party leader in the state Assembly, took potshots at senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, saying he makes baseless allegations against grand secular alliance government to remain in newspaper headlines.

He also took a dig at BJP minister at the Centre from Bihar for visiting the flood affected areas mainly for "photo session".
