Nitish sets panel on salary revision for fixed pay teachers

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced a high level committee under Chief Secretary to consider demand of hike in pay for fixed pay teachers who have been on a warpath with the state government for past one month.
The committee has been asked to submit report to the government in one month time, an official statement said here.
Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary Finance, Education and Principal Additional Advocate General Lalit Kishore will be four members of the committee under Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, it said.
This decision was taken a high level meeting held by the CM.
Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Education minister P K Shahi and Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh were among others who participated in the meeting.
Nearly 2.5 lakh fixed pay teachers in the state have been on warpath with the state government for pay parity with the regular teachers and regularisation of job.
The teachers have sat on protest and also hold street march during which they faced police lathicharge recently.
