NLCT activist arrested

A hard core activist of the
National Liberation Council of Taniland (NLCT) has been arrested at Likabali in West Siang district.
Duyum Taipodia, the self-styled deputy commandant of the outfit was arrested from his native Kamcham village on Wednesday, the police said today.
The police also recovered two 7.65 MM pistols along with two live cartridges and one mobile handset from his possession.
Duyum, a resident of Kamcham village under Likabali circle, was involved in a kidnapping case and was absconding since 2011.
From February to April 2013, he underwent arms training under NSCN (IM) at Nagaland, the police said.
West Siang SP Mari Riba has congratulated the Likabali police for arresting the rebel leader.
