At an event here, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) officials entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard.
NMDC would spend an amount of Rs 1.5 crore for installation of CCTV cameras in Hyderabad city as a part of CCTV Surveillance System under its Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Development initiative.
Sandeep Tula, Director (Personnel), NMDC Ltd and T Murali Krishna Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) signed the pact in presence of M Mahendar Reddy, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police.
"This will act as one stop centre for handling all emergencies and crisis/disaster managements by all government departments," police officials said.

As a part of this effort, the Hyderabad City Police has started implementation of City Wide Community CCTV Surveillance System with the help of community support.
The CCTV camera project, is the biggest of its kind to be taken up in any city of the country, they said.
The Hyderabad City Police has taken up an initiative to involve and encourage all PSUs to adopt communities in terms of police stations and sponsor the implementation of CCTV Surveillance System on behalf of the community in the city.
