No anticipatory bail for Income Tax officer in molestatn case

The special court for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act today refused pre-arrest bail to a senior Income Tax official who is accused of molesting a city-based chartered accountant and her minor sister.
"The court has his rejected the pre-arrest ('anticipatory') bail application. We will now move the Bombay High Court," said Joint Commissioner of IT Sridhar Sale's lawyer, advocate Naveen Chomal.
The 25-year-old woman, who had once worked with Sale, has alleged that he often sent objectionable messages and pictures to her on mobile phone between July 2014 and January 2015.
The Azad Maidan police station here on January 12 registered a case of molestation and criminal intimidation under Indian Penal Code and for relevant offences under Information Technology Act against him.

Police also pressed POCSO Act after the complainant's sister, a minor, alleged that she too had received objectionable messages and pictures from Sale.
The Income Tax officer, in his pre-arrest bail application, denied that he had ever sent such messages and pictures and claimed that he was being framed.
