"Sometime back the high command has said that no changes are stipulated in Andhra Pradesh...... We stand by that", party spokesman Sandeep Dikshit told reporters in reply to a volley of questions on the issue.
His remarks came close on the heels of Union Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo trashing reports which spoke of his writing to the high command and making a scathing attack on Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy and state unit chief B Satyanarayana Rao.
"I have not not written any letter either to high command or Sonia Gandhiji. No note has gone to the high command from me in the last four or five months.
"Since I am in Delhi, I go and tell them what is necessary. You have to ask the person who has written where this letter has come from. I have nothing to do with it. I have not sent any note in the last four or five months," he told reporters in Delhi.
Replying to a query, he said it is for the high command to decide if a change in leadership is necessary in Andhra Pradesh and that it is not his job to go into that. "My job is to look after my ministry". (More)
