"Why should there be any changes," he shot back when asked about reports that the Congress high command may effect changes in the state after the ongoing Parliament session concluded.
When specifically told that a new state Congress president might take over, he said, "Whether a new president comes or the old one continues, we work under our leadership. We are all mandated by Sonia Gandhiji. There is no problem for us."
On reports that he was not given appointment by Gandhi during his recent visit to Delhi while less prominent leaders were given audience, Satyanarayana said he did not seek appointment with the party president.
Replying to a query, he asserted that the party would always be prepared to face elections.
Referring to the ongoing power crisis in the state, the PCC president admitted that the electricity shortage caused inconvenience to the people.
Maintaining that the state government is making efforts to overcome the problem, he found fault with the main opposition TDP staging a protest at the Chief Minister's office in the Secretariat here till midnight yesterday.

The TDP lacked sincerity and is only interested in gaining political mileage, he claimed.
Satyanarayana also alleged that TDP and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy were not sincere in announcing measures for empowerment of backward classes.
