No Confidence motion not tabled against beleagured TMC

Despite no-confidence motion against the Trinamool Congress panchayat Pradhan at Nouda Jodupur village in Kaliachak number one block of Malda district, she was annunced as the Pradhan for the second time amid high drama today.
Political analysts said while Pradhan Farhana Bibi belonged to Bokul Seikh facion of TMC, she was opposed by Bokul's alleged opponent Jakir Seikh and a member of Jakir's faction reportedly gave no-confidence notice in the 23-member parishad.
However, despite large police presence and other administrative measures, no member turned up as the motion was taken up by the Panchayat executive today and Bibi was again declared as elected, a district official said.

The reported squabble between the two factions had often taken place in Kaliachak in past.
