Demanding apology from Virbhadra Singh for his alleged 'bonded labour' comment against its legislators, the state BJP today blamed the Chief Minister for the deadlock in Assembly and said no efforts were being taken on the government's part to end the impasse.
"There has been no conciliatory gesture or move on the part of Virbhadra Singh who has been making derogatory and insulting remarks against leader of the opposition P K Dhumal and BJP MLAs and was reluctant to apologise for his remarks" BJP spokesman Ganesh Dutt said here.
"Assembly without opposition is like body without soul but the Congress Government is not interested in smooth running and participation of BJP in the session," he added.
Reiterating its demand for public apology from the chief minister for his "derogatory remarks", Dutt said the deadlock would end if he apologised and sent BJP's corruption 'charge-sheet' against the government for CBI probe.
"The chief minister must tender a public apology for his remarks like 'bonded labourer' and 'mean remarks' against the BJP legislators and leader of the opposition P K Dhumal and refer the charge-sheet to CBI for ending the deadlock," he asserted.
Singh, however, has claimed that he did not make any such comments.
