No entry for visitors at RGI airport from tomorrow

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), today announced stoppage of sale of visitors entry ticket for the airport terminal from tomorrow to August 20 as part of the security arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has issued an order banning the entry of visitors and sale of visitor entry ticket at all the airports in India, including Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) here from August 10 to August 20, a statement from GHIAL said.
In this regard, RGIA has received an alert note from BCAS regarding stoppage on the sale of visitors' entry tickets for the airport, it said.
In view of the heightened security requirements during this period, RGIA passengers are advised to come to the airport well in advance and to avoid large number of greeters, the statement said.
The passengers are requested to cooperate with the security personnel at airport security check points, it added.
