No evidence to proceed against IAS official: VACB

Kerala's Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has informed a special court that no evidence could be found that substantiates the allegations against Additional Chief Secretary K M Abraham of amassing disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.
VACB could not find any evidence that substantiates the allegations against Abraham, the 'quick verification' report filed before special court (Vigilance) judge A Badharudeen said.
The court had earlier ordered 'quick verification' on a petition filed by Jomon Puthanpurackal, alleging that the official had amassed disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.
The judge said the petitioner can file his objections to the QV report on or before January 13.
