No fresh incident of violence was reported in the affected districts.
There was "slight improvement in the situation" with indefinite curfew relaxed from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts and from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Dhubri, official sources said.
The state government has directed the district administration to take stern action to ensure that there was no further outbreak of violence which has so far claimed 73 lives in.
A CBI team was scheduled to arrive here tomorrow following Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's recommendation for a probe by the central agency, the sources said.
A five-member team of Group of Ministers constituted by the chief minister visited refugee camps in Dhubri reviewed relief measures and directed the district administration to ensure health and hygiene.
AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh was scheduled to visit Kokrajhar today.
Fresh violence had erupted on August five after a lull of nearly ten days following the earlier clashes since July 19 which affected three districts of BTAD and Dhubri.
