No headway in RSS worker kidnapping case

Police is yet to make any headway in the alleged kidnapping of RSS worker Maniram Pal from Kamla Nagar locality here.
Pal also the state organisational, secretary of Banwasi Kalyan Ashram, had come to the city to attend a two-day training camp of the Ashram at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, police said.
The 52-year-old RSS worker, a resident of Azamgarh, was allegedly kidnapped when he had gone out for a morning walk yesterday.
Meanwhile, an ashram official at Kanpur received a call from the kidnappers, who demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh, RSS city president Narendra Taneja said.
Following which, the issue was brought to the notice of police and an FIR lodged at New Agra police station, he said.
Teams have been formed to rescue Pal at the earliest, SSP S C Dubey said, adding police was ascertaining if there was any eye witness to the kidnapping.
About 200 officials of the Banwasi Ashram were in Agra to attend the training camp.
