Members of the Earth Saviours Foundation, an NGO, along with the city police held 'No Honking Campaign' at Gurgaon- Faridabad Toll plaza by displaying banners, posters and putting stickers on vehicles.

"Vehicular honking in metropolitan cities has reached an alarming level. It contributes to about 70 per cent of the noise pollution in our environment," Kalra said.
"It has been proved that noise is a silent killer. It is not just a nuisance but a health hazard too. Besides causing irritation, it increases blood pressure, causes stress and cardio-vascular ailments," he said.
