"We do not find any ISIS ideology (being followed) in Jammu and Kashmir," Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, K Rajendra Kumar told reporters here today.
The officer said that the rate of infiltration from Pakistan has decreased remarkably and there was also a decline in militancy related activities in the state.
"Infiltration (from across the border) rate has decreased remarkably and there is also a decline in the militancy related activities in the Valley," the DGP said.
Kumar said that mechanism should be revisited to build police-public relations for better results at different fronts of policing.

While chairing a meeting to review law and order situation of the twin districts, the DGP stressed for enhancing basic professional policing.
"Besides fight against terrorism, our priority should be to ensure better public deliverance and rule of law in every corner of the state," the police officer said.
DGP Kumar asked for crime mapping with intent to establish pattern and factors of crime, which could lead to identity of criminals.
He said that besides dealing the terrorism firmly, the police has to work towards the eradication of crime and social evils from the society.
