RTI activist Anil Galgali had sought information about assets and liabilities declared by the Cabinet as well as the Ministers of State to which D K Naik, Under secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) replied that the data is "unavailable".
The activist said he had written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis twice and demanded to make public information on assets and liabilities of all ministers in detail online.
"The letter is with Chief Minister's office and after CM takes decision on pending files then it would be made available," Naik said.
The Chief Minister has to declare his Assets and liabilities to the Governor and accordingly all the Ministers of the Cabinet and MoS have to declare the same to the CM. The present ministry consists of 18 Cabinet and 12 Ministers of State in the Devendra Fadnavis's government.
Galgali said his application for declaring assets and details is pending with the Chief Minister since November 27 2014 i.e for 117 days which was clearly violation of Citizen Charter and Right to Service Act.
