"Some days back, we received requests seeking permissions to set up two distilleries. However, we threw away the applications as we has decided not to allow any new distillery in the state," Chouhan said on the sidelines of a programme here.
He said that no new liquor shop will also be allowed in the state. "The number of liquor shops will also be reduced gradually by conducting de-addiction programmes for the people," he said.
Chouhan further said that the government is also taking efforts to reduce the child mortality rate.
