Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) today said it has no plans to venture into commercial aviation and that it's aerospace business remains restricted to manufacture of utility aircraft and aerostructures.
"Mahindra Aerospace has no plans to enter commercial aviation. It is restricted to the manufacture of utility aircraft and aerostructures," Mahindra Group chairman and managing director Anand Mahindra tweeted.
His tweet came in response to reports in a section of media, stating that the group was planning to enter into the commercial airline space through its aerospace arm, Mahindra Aerospace.
The company, in a separate statement, also denied the reports.
"Mahindra Aerospace would like to categorically state that it is not entering the commercial aviation business and that its business is restricted to the manufacture of utility aircraft and aerostructures," the statement said.
