"There will be no power cut till April this year. The next course of action will be decided after reviewing the situation after April," Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das said after a meeting yesterday.
Stating that the state will meet its deficit through conserved hydro power and power banking, the minister said Odisha has been planning to avail 400 MW power from Delhi and Punjab through the power banking mode.
Though known to be a power surplus state, Odisha faced a peak power shortage of 500 MW last year due to deficient rainfall during monsoons.
