"None of the Punjabi farmers will be denied his right of cultivation and no farmers would be evicted," said the chief minister.
Ruling Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab had recently urged Haryana to frame a policy, so that lands given to the farmers of Punjab in the state in 1951 on a lease of 99 years, is not taken back.
Today, Hooda assured that Haryana government was committed to protect the interests of farmers in Haryana who were apprehending displacement.
Hooda also claimed that per capita income of Haryana was much more than Punjab's per capita income.

He also said that Haryana will continue its struggle over river waters issue.
The two states had since long been fighting over share of river waters.
