Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar noted that in a number of coal block allocation cases, in which records have been sent to the competent authority for considering sanction to try public servants, no decision has been taken yet.
"However, as has been observed in a number of other cases, no decision of the competent authority in the said and other cases on the said issue (sanction to try public servants) has yet been received.
"Accordingly, put up for passing of necessary orders on the supplementary final report (filed by CBI in VMPL's case) on July 29," the court said.
The court was hearing a coal scam case allegedly involving Vikash Metal and Power Limited (VMPL) and others.
