No rains, just searing sun for Delhi

A parched Delhi continued to reel under record high temperatures for August with maximun settling at 38 degree Celsius today and the conditions are expected to persist tomorrow.
The national capital yesterday had witnessed the hottest day in August since 2002 with the maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius.
The Safdarjung observatory which is the official reading for Delhi today recorded 38 degrees Celsius, four notches above and marginally less than yesterday.
Palam recorded a maximum of 39.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.
The minimum was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
The humidity was recorded between 69 and 35 per cent.
According to the MeT department, Delhi has already received 32 per cent less rainfall this year.
"It will be partly cloudy tommorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 38 and 27 degrees respectively," said the weatherman.
