No recruitment in Punjab without Finance Dept's approval

The Punjab government's Finance Department today issued directive to all other departments, Deputy Commissioners and Commissioners not to recruit any person without seeking its approval.
The Finance Department has taken a strong notice of recruitments made by some departments without following proper procedure about reviving or creating posts as per directions of the Department of Finance, an official spokesperson said.
He said detailed instructions have been sent to all heads of departments, boards, corporations not to initiate recruitment procedure especially to the Group 'C' and 'D' posts without prior approval of the Finance Department.
If any recruitment is made in contravention of the directions issued, then the Head/Administrative Secretary of the concerned department would be responsible, the spokesperson added.
