A division bench of Justices S J Vazifdar and K S Shriram refused to grant interim relief to the students who had sought direction to NMIMS to permit them to appear for their semester exams scheduled to start tomorrow.
NMIMS has cancelled 150 admissions since May 2013, alleging that students had sent dummy candidates to appear on their behalf for its management aptitude test (NMAT) held between October 2010 and January 2011.
Career Guardian had allegedly told the students that they were not required to sit for the entrance test and could secure admissions through the management quota on the basis of the scores generated in their profile.
"We are not going to grant any interim relief. We will pass a detailed order on Friday," the court said.
