Senior Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil today said the state has turned into "frustrated Maharashtra" as no section of the society is happy with performance of the Devendra Fadnavis government.
"Congress will take an aggressive stand against the government for its alleged failures on all fronts," Vikhe Patil, the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, told reporters here.
He was speaking after the co-ordination committee meeting of the Congress Legislature Party.
"Investments are on the down-slide, unemployment is on the rise and the sloppy implementation of the farm loan waiver have frustrated people about the present regime," he charged.
He also said group leaders of all opposition parties from both houses of the Maharashtra Legislature will meet on February 25 to chalk out their floor strategy during the Budget session which commences from February 26.
"The state has turned into 'frustrated Maharashtra' as no section of the society is happy with the performance of the Devendra Fadnavis government," Vikhe Patil alleged.
"The party has decided to take up issues of loan waiver, apathy of the government regarding compensation to farmers affected by hailstorm and unseasonal rains, corruption, rising unemployment and problems faced by people in urban areas like Mumbai. Instead of tackling these problems facing the common man, the government is only engaged in conducting events," he alleged.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, legislators Varsha Gaikwad, Mohammed Arif Naseem Khan, group leader in the Legislative Council Sharad Ranpise among others attended the meeting.
