As per directions of the Delhi Lt Governor, the Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board (DAMB) has started selling onions and potatoes at subsidised rates via 32 mobile vans in different parts of the city, said Development Commissioner Puneet Goel.
The prices of onions and potatoes are stable at the moment, Goel said, adding that, "there is no shortfall in the arrival of onions and potatoes in Delhi and current arrivals are more than the requirement of the city".
DAMB is selling onions at Rs 18/kg in the northern parts of Delhi through seven mobile vans while 15 mobile vans selling onions and potatoes at Rs 13-15/kg and Rs 14-16/kg, respectively, are covering the eastern parts of the city.
Goel further said that 10 mobile vans are selling onions and potatoes at Rs 15/kg and Rs 20/kg, respectively, in the western parts of Delhi covering areas like Dwarka, Paschim Vihar, Kirti Nagar, Fateh Nagar (Jail Rd), Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar, Mangolpuri, Mohan Garden, Punjabi Bagh, etc.
