"Till UP elections, there will not be any protestsagainst Modi government at the Centre. We do not want topoliticise the issue. How can we protest against our elderbrother (Modi)?" he said.
Togadia, here to attend the Bajrang Dal National Convention, said, "Brothers, the agitation against the central government will be when rival party is ruling. Now it is our elder brother's (Modi) government. Have you ever seen younger brothers taking on elder brother? Can we protest against our elder brother?"
To a question, Togadia said if there were attempts to ban jallikattu in Tamil Nadu and Kambala, an annual buffalo race in the muddy fields of coastal Karnataka, similar ban should be imposed on sacrificing of animals during Bakrid too.
"I want to ask, on the occasion of Bakrid, animals including goats are sacrificed. Will this also be banned in this country? Hence, there should be an equal law for everybody. Let people decide," he said.
