No threat to Chandy: Cong
Press Trust of India New Delhi Congress today saw no threat to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy despite being questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the solar panel scam.
"Will anybody resign for no reason? He is one of the most popular Chief Ministers. Why you want him to resign? There is no single allegation .......Against him", party spokesman P C Chacko told reporters here.
He replied in the affirmative when asked whether Chandy was stable despite the questioning.
Congress' reaction came on a day when Advocate General of Kerala K P Dandapani told the High Court that the Chief Minister has been question by the SIT.
A report from Kochi said the disclosure about Chandy's questioning was made by the Advocate General after much persuasion by Justice Harun-Al Rashid hearing a petition relating to solar scam over which opposition LDF has been seeking the resignation of the Chief Minister in view of the alleged involvement of some former staff of Chief Minister's Office with the prime accused.
