Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, which fall directly under the Prime Minister's Office, do not have an internal committee to address cases of sexual harassment at workplace, Rajya Sabha was informed today.
"All the central ministries or departments except Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space have constituted Internal Complaint Committee in their offices," Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi said in a written reply.
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 mandates constitution of Internal Complaint Committees in all workplaces having more than 10 workers for receiving complaints of sexual harassment.
