''Who will trust Trinamool Congress which dares to bring such a motion with only 19 MPs? Neither BJP nor Congress, we feel, trusts her," Mishra, Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, said.

Expressing surprise how Trinamool Congress would be able to garner support of 50 MPs to enable it to move a no-trust motion, the CPI(M) leader said such a move would only help the UPA government cover up all its 'wrong' policies and "wrong deeds".

Mishra said that on the other hand the motion, placed by Left parties in the Lok Sabha, entailing voting, to oppose the Centre's wrong policies and particularly the FDI issue, was a "much more effective move" to "expose" the Manmohan Singh government.

"We think such a move will be able to muster support of majority of MPs," he added.

Mishra's statement came shortly after CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat said a no-trust motion would only help the government cover up all its wrong measures and claim parliamentary mandate with all the numbers it has to defeat such a motion.

He also flayed the state government's "inept handling" of the Tehatta incident in which one person was killed in police firing.
