Nocil Q1 net profit rises 66.23% to Rs 16.74 crore

Rubber chemicals manufacturer Nocil, an Arvind Mafatlal Group firm, today posted 66.23 per cent increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 16.74 crore on higher income in the first quarter of the 2015-16 fiscal.
The company's net profit stood at Rs 10.07 crore in the same quarter last year, Nocil said a filing to the BSE.
Total income rose by 5.27 per cent to Rs 186.01 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal, as against Rs 176.68 crore in the year-ago period.
That apart, the company's overall expenses remained more or less at last year's level at Rs 158.49 crore in the said period.
Nocil has its manufacturing facilities at Navi Mumbai and Dahej in Gujarat.
The company's scrip closed 5.48 per cent down at Rs 50.90 apiece on the BSE.
