After a review meeting here today, CEO Sanjiv Saran asked the officials to repair all defunct street lights on the expressway, and directed the power department officials to ensure regular supply for them.
Saran also asked the officials to take up repair work of damaged roads in the wake of increasing traffic pressure, especially on the DND Flyway and the Noida-Greater Noida stretch of the expressway.
The move assumes significance after a number of people died due to a series of road accidents on the highway, particularly on the Noida-Greater Noida stretch.
On Sunday, two persons were killed on the expressway after their truck was hit by a speeding truck.
Residents also had approached the authority, complaining that lack of lighting was giving rise to anti-social activities.
