Noida-based company lays off workers, faces protest

Employees of an automobile manufacturing company today held an indefinite strike over the layoffs of some their colleagues, police said today.
Majistic Auto Limited, located at Ecotech 1 extension in Greater Noida, expelled eight workers from the company without any notice.
"Reacting to the incident, some of the agitated workers who were working in the factory for the last 8-9 years, sat on an indefinite strike outside the factory gate, however they were not allowed to enter the premises," a police spokesperson said.
