Noida Litfest to see participation by over 60 speakers

It is raining literature festivals in the country and joining the bandwagon is Noida International Literature Festival that is hosting over 60 literary figures to celebrate the power of the written word.

Opening on Saturday, the two-day literary event themed "The World of Dreams and Imagination", will be held at Radisson Blu MBD, Sector-18, Noida, organizers Vibhor Festival Trust said in a statement.

Among the speakers will be writers Narendra Kohli, Anirban Ganguly, Vikram Sampath, Sudeep Sen, Rajat Sethi, politician Varun Gandhi, and classical dancer Arushi Nishank.

"The free for all festival will have 33 events and activities, including book readings, talks, panel discussions, debates, book launches, music and dance and poetry, celebrating literature, art, music, poetry and freedom of expression," they added.

The festival, now in its third edition, will also host panel discussions on pertinent issues ranging from "India's rising soft power", "Women Empowerment" and "LGBTQ" to "Horror fiction writing", "Indian cinema" and "Writing in Dogri".

The festival's special initiative, "I Am Author" will provide publishing opportunity to various aspiring authors.

It will come to a close on Sunday.
